Hello, this is py and I'm briefly interrupting our scheduled programming to bring you a video a few people have requested another quick and easy guide to modding, this time for Balers Gate 3. To make things even easier, I'm going to try to keep it under 5 minutes. If you're interested to see all of the mods I use, my mod list and links to each one is in the description of this video. But for those of you who are new to modding, we'll start with the basics.
If you've watched any of my roleplay episodes, you know that I'm all about creating unique characters with rich backstories connected to D and D lore. Mods can really help you do that. Either by adding cosmetic changes to help you differentiate your tab's look, go to add unique weapons and armor to unlock special spells and abilities for your character in combat, or even to help you choose the most character-driven dialogue options and build relationships in the game.
The first thing you'll need to start modding is to download the Baldur's Gate mod manager from the link provided in the description. Follow the installation instructions and set your game data path to 'Program Files > Steam > SteamApps > Common > Baldur's Gate 3 > Data'.

Once you've set up the mod manager, you'll need to know where these mods are going to end up. Go to your system files and create a 'mods' folder in 'User > App Data > Local > Laran Studios > Baldur's Gate 3'. You can then pin it to quick access to make it easier to find in the future.
To choose mods to add to your game, visit the Nexus Mods website. This is where you'll find thousands of mods to choose from. We recommend creating an account to get started. Once you've chosen a mod, download the files and extract them into your mods folder. Lastly, refresh the mod loader, select your mods, and export your load order before playing the game. Launch the game through the mod manager to access the new content.

Hitting save load order and exporting that load order into your game is essential. As long as you read the directions and drop the files in the correct folder, you'll be totally fine. Enjoy modding Balers Gate 3!
I hope you find that the mods really enrich your gameplay. If you found this video helpful, please give it a like. For more content, check out my roleplay episodes over on my channel NYX. I can't wait to see you there!
