Prepping for the Cows 🚜
I was needing some lube and some gloves and one wheelbarrow steak buying a cup of tea you beauty right let's get home there's a sale of some sort on so I was going to go in and have a look but it's sheep so we'll not be looking at flipping sheep will we dog no chance water troughs these things they're actually for pigs just got a we flap that the pigs press not some bolts in the way there you go PR press that flap there a valve in there lets water through and put a we 90 on there that pipe's going to join into it across here tru's going to sit there they do have we guards as well they have to go on they're designed for pigs but they work for cattle so these pens are getting done a look cavy troughs on needs a guard it just sits like that we have lined it up so that that gate can fold back and it just goes through one of those gaps there in theory it should anyway done solid just need to turn off the water take that end off okay it's made up a 90° there so that's going to go like that yeah it might need to make it a little bit shorter we've got the water off at the moment when we're fitting that drop so there's three of these pipes we've done two already originally there's these slots that come with the kit but I've cut these extra holes cuz the pipe was too short to write along and up so I've cut this slot there we just need to get that pipe on the inside there which involves taking the back Shield off disconnect there re-root the pipe up through that hole it's just four bolts to get the guards off there one two down the bottom three and four just like that one more trough required it's not got guard yet um she was getting a bit angsty with the drill so just going to leave her be and that's got a gink that's all to just function just now we're going to redo this in hindsight maybe should have just come up and over the wall and with the water should have should have brought it up on the other side of the wall and then just come straight down and there's much less pipe to deal with on the castle side anyway we will get a nicer solution
Caring for the Calves and Cows 🦴🐮
we've got this calf back socking again just been sucking for the last 10 minutes or so go C it keep going the man's standing right at the piece so I'm hopeful this will work my hands are cold I don't want to touch the tee cuz the cow keeps kicking off doesn't bother when the Cal's at it so that's good that's a good sign decent mother there you go beast I wouldn't say it's ideal as long as she figures out that you press the trigger and it gives you water she's got a snout on the trigger so it's pumping out water just the the pressure is not amazing right now

I've had four cow's C and three sets of twins so far and right I need to go and put some aisho on and it's pretty cold so go and chck my on then sort these CS out I think I'm going to let her settle a we bit she's just a bit Twitchy two we Angus we Angus we spindly we Angus caves anyway I chucked the C as close as I could get to the mother there just so she didn't neglect it that'll do for now I I went to spray one of the naval and uh my bottle is completely broken nice one gate lady is going to be happy with that when I walk in the door wonderful it is a couple of hours later there is more than just those twins now make sure the twins have had a drink and sort out what else we've got oh and it's frosty cold right let's figure out what's who's is whose that cow had twins there's one of her CS the other one being what the other one not being that one that one's just CED

I think that that one must be a twin there is it you're just about to C another you've not C you're just trying to get soaked right so you're the extra twin that's easy that that's a small C I think there might be another in here sh let's get her checked out first which involves getting you out of here you're losing your nice pen on your own people soy Make Me Feel Dizzy tax light sh so bright but I need no friend as long as I G want to lose I am in Paradise every day I look at the world from my window chilly chilly is evening time right we got that one out I was setting up to get her in there but I could see her I can see a hoof and wanted to get it out pretty quick it was breached backside was coming first it's okay another set of twins that's five cows C four sets of twins oh jeez right that Cav's getting a sup perfect hopefully that one will sort itself out as well just going to get some water to throw in this lug that calf that I just pulled it is only out for probably 3 or 4 minutes now but just seems very lifeless it is breathing bit of cold water in the lug there and it shook its head but it's not much action at all I'm hoping that's just cuz it's very early Frid I am so la don't want to godam feel arra lungs are full of fluid cuz he was coming backwards do this to maybe drain some of the fluid out he's on death door that's better that c is soing that cow got out I need to narrow the bars and all the headed JS but that second calf started getting a s so it knows what it's doing now so that's half the battle show where the water is should be thirsty what are we doing with you pal C in the corner there it's it's fine it's had loads of milk this Cal was had a little bit there and it now knows what it's doing hopefully that should be all right that Cal over there is soing away fine that is the twin of this Cal this is the issue how the hell do we sort that I don't know I don't know I don't know she just going to die if I don't do anything bottler gets some warm fluids in there she's getting a bit cold now so I don't want it to completely shut down but so's on death door right now bu cavy why you lying there only thing I've not done is try to get some clustr into so going to go and grab some I feel by the time I get back she'll be de right she's had some milk I couldn't find the calf tube so she had a sheep tube but just long enough to make it into the stomach just going to go and grab a heat lamp now I think and heat lamp over the top and fingers crossed basically I need to knit back to yard one the heat lamps at yard one so 10 minutes to go and grab that don't know what the time is now five half four something like that hope it ends up as a nice story but to be honest I don't have much if any faith but we'll keep trying that's all you can do H yard one bound 424 lovely I forgot the roads where I say how do we wobble that' be the next thing end up in the ditch with dad's car should be a heat lamp in here right going to fire to my bed check back in a couple of hours I've not got too much hope hey dog oh man enough under there fingers crossed next clip you'll see is this C in a bit better condition 505 smashing good luck cavy good luck flipping got in sh climbed into bed check the camera before I go to sleep peacefully the heat lamp's gone off must have tripped if I click that button and this resets H please be the fuse damn it uhhuh that sucket work Works sock over there that I've been using doesn't or it stopped working must have tripped at the fuse box that's the extension there yeah set of sockets is fried there you go that socket worked just for a second and it stopped working again so we'll see if it's tripped here we're back up and running I've got it on a different socket I don't know what's wrong with that set up there keeps tripping least I don't need a show it this time all right attempt two to go to bed all the dairy boys will be halfway through the milk in already good night again the seals have gone in that as as G on water they are in Paradise
