This Viper Strike Death's Oath Slayer build is like a rollercoaster ride - it's insane fun but comes with some serious pitfalls. The build offers near-infinite recovery, making you nearly unkillable in certain content. But it's a double-edged sword - either you're invincible or you're toast. It's a unique and cool build, but not for the faint of heart or anyone looking for a smooth ride. Happy hunting! 🐍⚔️🩸

Introduction

Hi guys, Asmo here and today I'm going to share with you one of the weirder and more interesting builds I have ever played in Path of Exile - a viper strike death's oath tainted packed Slayer. It's a build that features nearly infinite recovery, allowing you to recover your entire life pool in a single tick if you're running certain types of content. However, while it is very fun to map with, it has a lot of different drawbacks that I want to talk about. Despite this, it has many really cool mechanics that I wanted to make a video about and share them with you.

Basic Mechanics

We're using Echo Forge which allows me to do only chaos damage, no physical or elemental damage, and also gives me the ability to shock with my chaos. I'm using viper strike with Echo Forge, along with death oath which gives me the death aura around. Tainted packed is another very big mechanic that is very difficult to get around and is an essential part of the build. It has a line that says taking damage over time heals you instead while leeching life. We also use Golden Rule to reflect the poisons that deal to ourselves, turning them into healing.

Scaling and Damage

We are scaling frenzy charges that are turned instead to affliction charges, which give extra over time multiplier and also give the effect of non-damaging ailments, boosting my damage. We're also using Alesa's Delight belt, which gives me the ability to get extra frenzy charges and boosts my shocks that come from Echo Forge. We're using various sources of increasing maximum recovery life leech including the charm modifiers and Slayer's ability.

Build Concerns

On paper, this build has really good stats but there's a big issue with this build. There's a binary scenario where it's either infinite recovery or zero recovery, and it can instantly kill you if you're not doing enough damage to get your leech capped. This makes it difficult to run content that requires you to leech, and there are specific scenarios where you cannot do enough damage to get your leech capped and you don't have enough leech duration, causing you to instantly die. Essentially, this build is for experienced players who are aware of its limitations and are looking for a unique and challenging build.

Conclusion

In summary, this build has cool mechanics and can be fun for slaying hordes of monsters in your Maps, but it's not recommended for certain bosses or more challenging content. It has some strong limitations that you need to be aware of before attempting to play it.

Key Takeaways

  • The Viper Strike Death's Oath Slayer build features nearly infinite recovery and some really cool mechanics.
  • However, it has some strong limitations and unique challenges that need to be considered before attempting to play.

FAQ

  • Can this build handle end-game content?
    • It can handle certain types of end-game content, but it may struggle with bosses and high-tier encounters due to its unique mechanics.

Overall, the Ridiculous Viper Strike Death's Oath Slayer build is an interesting and fun choice for experienced Path of Exile players, but it comes with its fair share of limitations and challenges.
