Scion Not Making a Comeback and Player-to-Player Trading Still Available in Path of Exile 2 in [5 Minutes or Less]

Path of Exile 2 news in a nutshell: Beta launch with less content than PoE1, but more to come for full release. Post-launch leagues will impact endgame, no new base classes, and trade system stays the same. Chaos orbs and crafting will be more valuable and specific. Builds may be less complicated, and power creep is still a mystery.๐Ÿ˜Ž๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿ”ฅ

In a recent interview with Jonathan from GGG, several updates and features of Path of Exile 2 (Poe2) were discussed. Here are the key takeaways from the interview.

Beta Launch and Early Access ๐Ÿš€

During the beta period, Poe2 is expected to have a little less content than Poe1 in the end game initially. It will feature maps, mechanics, and the porting of Poe1 content to Poe2. A large amount of endgame content is planned for the final release of Poe2. Pinnacle Box bosses will be available in the game at release.

Beta Launch Early Access Full Launch
Less content initially Maps and mechanics Large amount of endgame content
Porting Poe1 content Pinnacle Box bosses Full launch possibly 6 months from beta
Post-launch content Impactful league content No more base classes added

Leagues and Expansions ๐ŸŽฏ

The League release model for Poe2 will mirror that of Poe1, with major expansions planned for each year. The trade and economy system will retain the player-to-player trade mechanism, with gold used as a tax for instant buyouts. The trade website from Poe1 will also remain in place for Poe2.

Trade & Economy League & Expansions Crafting
Auction house restrictions Similar release model to Poe1 Limited crafting scopes
Player-to-player trade No more base classes added Different crafting systems
Trade website for Poe2 Impactful league content Valuable chaos orbs

Quality of Life and Balance โš™๏ธ

Quality of life improvements in Poe2 include auto pickup for gold, more defined drop rates, and a push for players to access different content with specific crafting systems. Moreover, no more complication is expected in making Poe2 builds compared to Poe1. Power creep remains a concern with no clear answers at this stage.

Quality of Life No More Complication Power Creep
Auto pickup for gold No complexity in builds No clear answers
Defined drop rates Automated features Extreme monster power

In conclusion, Path of Exile 2 is shaping up to be an exciting continuation of the popular franchise, with a focus on endgame content, impactful league updates, and an emphasis on balancing and quality of life improvements.
