The new supports in PoE 3.24 are shaking things up! Cards for unique items are no longer dropping, but can still be obtained through decks, boosting their value. Plus, the addition of two new supports means automatic skill use and a nerf to auto-cast on left click. It's a game-changer!

Table of Contents
Today we'll discuss the latest teasers and news. Firstly, they revealed a new MTX that can be obtained by watching the announcement and other streams with drops enabled for 45 minutes from 23:00 Thursday to 8:00 Friday. Moving on to the teasers, first off, the Izaro's reliance on the Leader of the Reliquary cards in order to access the uniques that drop exclusively from bosses will be removed. These cards will no longer drop from predicting certain prophecies, which should, in theory, increase the value of such uniques. We'll stuff an estimated list of cards and corresponding uniques somewhere here.
Prophecies | Uniques |
---|---|
Prophecy A | Unique A |
Prophecy B | Unique B |
Prophecy C | Unique C |
Class Changes
The second teaser involves the addition of two new supports: Automation and Call to Arms. When activated, both supports allow you to automatically use instant skills with increased cooldown. Automation can be used for any instant skills, meaning you can instantly cast multiple skills with increased cooldowns. On the other hand, Call to Arms can only be used for warcries, and it only makes sense to link and use one, as all linked warcries will share the same cooldown. This naturally serves as a nerf to builds that utilized any skills with a left-click cast, particularly skills such as Bone Armour from the Ascendant class, among other traditional ones like Bladefall and Ethereal Knives. However, it's essentially a buff for those who did not use anything on the cast button, or play with a gamepad or console, or use a large number of instant skills without supports. Additionally, all this will even trigger while standing in place. In general, congratulations to these one and a half people!
Game Optimization
On the other hand, it's pointless to ask a serious question like why they didn't think of leaving things as they were. It's obvious that this is done intentionally to slow down the gameplay. In general, it seems like a cunning plan to turn the first into something so crooked that in the end people would gladly run into the second, no matter what it is, and forget about supporting the first. Now, being serious is tough, when almost every teaser is presented as a fierce buff, yet every discussion ends with the fact that, well, actually, none of this is really fatal, but yes, you can still live. Plus, in theory, this opens up a few possibilities for certain builds and all that, but there might be a problem with this encouraging people to use crutches through a gamepad, which, in principle, isn't allowed, or macros, which they might not overlook. Also, recalling the autocast climactic, they will start banning for anything like that. But even so, despite all the complaining, considering that at most it will help maintain the old functionality rather than lead to some kind of terrible burden, it is unlikely that they will suddenly change their minds. Moreover, it is still with a high probability not the last nerve-patching, but rather according to the overall trends shown, not even one of the most serious.
