I'm back in the world of Path of Exile, diving into the Necropolis League. Started off strong, got some unique drops, even a rare Barracks ring. But then, bam! One shot by some sneaky mushroom heads. Hardcore mode is no joke in this game. But hey, it's all part of the journey. Time to start over and see where this wild ride takes me. Stay tuned for more updates on my crazy adventure! 💥🎮 #PathOfExile #HardcoreGamer

Hi everyone! Last night, the powerful Exile Necropolis League launched and this was a pretty big hype event. A lot of people were there to play it, including myself. I have not really played Path of Exile in the last year or so, ever since we had this whole Diablo 4 phase. I have played it a lot in the past — I have a few thousand hours in that game. But I'm somewhat Rusty. 🌟 But I decided to just jump in and do a hardcore playthrough here as a witch focusing on the detonate Dead with Ignite build.

Starting Off in the Hardcore World 🌍

I started with a hardcore playthrough as a witch, focusing on the detonate Dead with Ignite build. I was going for detonate Dead with Ignite, which is one of the best league starter builds out there — pretty versatile, pretty powerful, and just kind of works. The first boss was Hog, and I had a streamer client activated. When we defeated him, we got our first unique item, Asite Peak. The achievement popup didn't appear, so it seems like I'd already found a unique item in the Twilight Strand before.

Item Description
Asite Peak A nice Helm to carry me through Act 1 and Act 2 with extra defenses
Fock's Eeling Blue, blue, and green Eeling from Fock, starting me off quite well

A Bountiful Start and Early Luck 🍀

In Act 3, I found a Barrack's Spite ring, which was a huge drop for my fire spell caster build. This item carried me all the way through the campaign. I even found a bunch of items that I started selling for two chaos orbs. It was a pretty good start, with a lot of unique item drops and good progress in the game.

Attempting and Failing at Hardcore 😔

I have not really played a lot of Hardcore in Path of Exile, as I usually played it in Diablo. I've played it in Path of Exile before for the world first race, but I was up for the challenge this time. Unfortunately, my first hardcore character for the Necropolis League met its demise. A damage type I couldn't defend against — chaos damage — led to the end of the character. It was a reminder of how rough Hardcore mode can be in Path of Exile.

Key Takeaways
Hardcore mode in Path of Exile can be brutal and unforgiving. The game is packed with dangers that can end your run very quickly.

Coming Back Stronger 💪

Despite the setback, I plan to try the same build again. It was actually kind of fun, and I'll be trying to progress this character over the next few weeks. It was a very early rep, so it doesn't matter all too much. I'm looking forward to seeing where this journey will lead me in the world of Necropolis.

I hope you like this little summary of my first day in Necropolis, and I look forward to sharing more Path of Exile videos in the coming days. Let's see where this journey will lead us. If you're also playing Necropolis, feel free to share your experiences with me too!
