Upgrading Diablo Immortal gems: Chasing copies for the Acing Shade gem may be a mistake, but with limited options, it's necessary. The Mo the Deep gem is the go-to for PVP, but with a lack of gem power, the Acing Shade upgrade is a gamble. Resonance is the goal, but is it worth the price? 💎 #GemUpgradeDilemma

Today, I'll be making a ton of upgrades to my account, and I'm not sure if I'm making a huge mistake. I ended up purchasing a ton of copies for the Acing Shade gem, but I'm not sure if that was the right choice. Perhaps I should have purchased another gem, like the Blo Jade or the Bottled H, to try and upgrade that even further. Since those gems were not available, my options were limited, and my Acing Shade is the only gem that is ranked five out of five. I'll be trying to get this to rank seven, but I'm not sure if I made a huge mistake. Most of the time when I'm playing in PVP, I just use the Mor the Deep inside of my Acing Shade and don't even use the Acing Shade anymore. Even for the challenge Rift, I try to use the Mor the Deep for the first part, and when it comes to fighting the boss inside of the challenge Rift, I switch the gem back to Acing. Let me know in the comment section below what you guys think.
Gem Upgrade Process
I will be using some copies to destroy every single gem that I want to with the first upgrade, and it will be converted to gem power. This is a nice option so we don't actually have to pick the gem power over and over again. I have a lot of these two-star gems, having run a lot of rare quests. Now I'm out of the rare quests. I crafted some and I purchased some from the market, while some dropped from the Elder Rift. There's a lot of gem power, so we should be good for a couple of upgrades here.
Gems Used | Source |
---|---|
Two-star Gems | Rare Quests |
Some Crafted | Crafted |
Some Purchased | Market |
Some Dropped | Elder Rift |
Gem Upgrade Progress
The upgrade process will be a lot faster, and we'll be able to get close to 4.2k resonance today. Let's go for another upgrade. I have enough copies for the Acing Shade. Let's go for another upgrade. We have enough gem power for one more upgrade, and after that, we won't be able to do more upgrades. Three more steps left before I'll be able to take this gem to rank seven. However, I am actually lacking a bit of champ power, otherwise, I would be able to upgrade it further.
Current Resonance
If we go back and see the amount of resonance we have, it's actually 4,122 now. Let me know in the comment section below what do you guys think about whether I made a mistake chasing the copies for Auring Shade. Each copy was for about 40-45k platinum in my server, and I was thinking maybe this would be an easy way to get resonance, and I can always use Mor the Deep inside when I am doing PVP.
I'm signing off. See you all in the next one, and I hope you all have a great day.
