Poe 2 is the game I always wanted pee1 to be. The WD movement and fluid combat system are big changes that make it feel like G's Dark Souls meets of Exile. It's a different beast, more focused on bossing and difficulty. Path of Exile 2 sounds like the far superior title, and I'm concerned for Path of Exile 1's future. But I'm excited to see how it all plays out. 🎮🔥

The Shift to Fluid Combat

It sounds like Jonathan in going to these different podcasts is trying to say listen guys this is a a much bigger change than you think but the biggest change that I think Path of 2 makes this change to this WD movement and new sort of like fluid movement system the game that we know Path of Exile one and that click to move sort of style it somewhat Antiquated and it is restrictive and it doesn't allow a combat system to really flourish allow complexity within the combat right.

Ranger’s New Moves

We already tease the fact that we're showing off ranger um and um you can imagine that move shooting can be uh applicable uh to a class like the Ranger and kind of you know. As I said just other changes it's also the other as well that I'm very keen to people to try is um people haven't had chance yet to try what melee is like with w wsd and um that's also something that um you are going to be able get a chance to um at the event.

Concerns About Late Fundamental Changes

I find it interesting how basically it does seem like the WD movement and that fluid combat movement is the preferred system when you play it does seem like that's going to translate well into whenever that that uh in the interview they talk about console possibly not being ready but uh nonetheless the wsd movement being the more Superior option for people that know the game that play the game like this is G we they play their game we know that they know their game it's not like another developer that they don't know what they're doing right. That's really interesting CU that signals me that like okay it does feel good and it does seem like that that the is is starting to to become tailored around concerns me is that this WD movement wasn't they didn't go into poe2 with this WD movement in mind and it's such a fundamental change in and in it concerns me because it was relatively recent that that change was implemented what was it like a year ago or so is a relatively recent change that is just bringing so of a sort of feel the game.

The Comparison to Other Games

I played this game the ascent year and an isometric RPG very similar to what you would expect like a Diablo like to look like but it is it is WD movement a shooter essentially and it feels excellent it feels great but it does not feel like an it feels very much so like an action more action style RPG where you know the idea is much more focused on combat rather than it is focused on like you know click here and do this thing and blow this screen up and then the loot it's it's very much like you're paying attention to combat you're paying attention to movement very more so than you would and I do think that fundamental change um is going be really interesting to see and I I think it's great.

Unique Bosses and A Dark Souls Vibe

I played this game the ascent year and an isometric RPG very similar to what you would expect like a Diablo like to look like but it is it is WD movement a shooter essentially and it feels excellent it feels great but it does not feel like an it feels very much so like an action more action style RPG where you know the idea is much more focused on combat rather than it is focused on like you know click here and do this thing and blow this screen up and then the loot it's it's very much like you're paying attention to combat you're paying attention to movement very more so than you would and I do think that fundamental change um is going be really interesting to see and I I think it's great.

Path of Exile 1 vs. Path of Exile 2

But I think that a lot of the thing is the thing that um a lot of people say which once I don't know that I would agree with is oh path of2 is slower paced so on and that isn't like but thing is that isn't an intention that's just a result of happens when you make the combat good and it it sounds like it's it's going to be great but it doesn't sound like Path of Exile one it doesn't sound like a Diablo like anymore it's just very very much a different Beast a different game and I think that's why when he brings up when preach brings up like is there in internal conflict that goes on you know that this game can do this better and game can do this um and Jonathan says no and it's probably because making two very different games point now this is where I think this is what concerns me about Path of Exile 1 in that in my opinion Path of Exile 2 sounds like the far superior title it sounds like the title that should again.
