I tested out the new Spectral Shield Throw as a Trickster with Eternity Shroud – it’s a blast for clearing and has decent DPS.

Spectral Shield Throw as Trickster Eternity Shroud: Amazing Clear, Meh DPS. Building this character took some work, with shaped gear and struggle to scale flat cold damage. It's fun for clear but lacks punch for single Target. Still, a unique play style, and can handle lower to mid-tier maps. But not the world-beater I hoped for. Just an okay build. 💪😜

Hey guys, it's Matth here once again with the next or last build I was just then playing. It's been a good few days and I've been a bit busy, so I couldn't really make video um. We were tackling the new spectral Shield throw gem, which isn't particularly hugely new. It basically just gives you flat Cal damage instead of flat physical damage, scaling only off of the evasion on your shield. Now as we know there aren't any alt quality anymore which was a bit of a big blow for both spectral Shield through and shield crush as they scaled enormously well through energy shield and then Crucible League had the best this build will ever see when you had uh Shields with 1,000 es um if you could go to that kind of level so what you're going to see here is a very lukewarm version compared to those but those just simply aren't possible anymore.

🛠 Building the Character

What the build does is scale off of evasion on your Shield, and you can still scale off of energy Shield using the seething Fury Jewel that still exists. This character has a shield with almost 1300 evasion and almost 300 energy Shield. The build is designed as a tricker, with a whole bunch of extra damage, evasion, and energy Shield from the trickster. It's an eternity shroud base, which means that all of the gear is shaped, and all of the gear is shaped, makes the character more unique in playstyle.

The result is a bit lackluster; clear is really good, and the player is happy getting this character to 94, doing a whole bunch of delve, heist, and incursions all kinds of stuff like that. It feels really crunchy and snappy in a lot of these situations, but when you need a bit more single Target and we're talking the league mechanic plus High tier Maps, it's not going to be taking on Ubers or anything like that. It does feel a bit more lackluster on single Target, and I think that's just kind of where spectral Shield throw is going to be. The single Target for spectral Shield throw from the player's experience is just going to be a bit mid, and there's not a lot that we can do about that.
