Surah Breaker is not just a better GT Destroyer. Despite the similarities, their playstyles are very different. Surah requires more methodical timing and knowledge of boss patterns to maximize its damage in the Sur stance. It’s not as “mindless” as GT, so if you prefer a more strategic approach, Surah might be for you. But if you enjoy entering GT stance frequently, GT Destroyer could be more fun. Ultimately, it’s up to you to decide which playstyle suits you best. 🥊

Playstyle Differences between Asura Breaker and GT Destroyer

👊🔥

Since the first time we saw footage of the Asura Breaker, a lot of people have been saying that it's pretty much just a better GT Destroyer. Having now played GT for an entire month and also having played Surah, I can confidently say that they are actually very different classes. Don't get me wrong, there are similarities between the two classes, but the play style of the two classes is actually very different. Here, I'll explain the key differences.

Similar Appearance, Different Playstyle

At a high level, both classes look very similar as they are both front-attacking classes, using their Auto attacks at the front of the boss and slamming it in the face. The biggest difference that most people see at face value is that Asura Breaker's punching duration is much shorter than that of GT Destroyer, making Asura a much better class than GT Destroyer.

Comparison to Surge Blade and Igniter Sorceress

The way you get to that punching stance for GT and Asura is very different. Instead of flowing into the stance as in GT, Asura Breaker's play style is more similar to an igniter sorceress. This means that you're not going into the Sur stance extremely often and you need to wait for the right moment to maximize your damage.

Maximum Damage Requires Precision

Asura does the majority of its damage in the Sur stance, so it's crucial to maximize the time you are in that stance. This requires understanding the boss's patterns and knowing exactly when to enter the Sur stance to avoid wasting damage potential.

Play Style Differences

If you prefer a mindless play style of standing in front of the boss and continuously attacking, GT might be more suited for you. But if you enjoy a methodical approach and holding out for the right moment to strike, then Asura Breaker might be a better fit.

Conclusion: Is Asura Breaker the Right Class for You?

While Asura Breaker is undeniably a better class than GT Destroyer, the play style differences need to be considered. If you're looking for a class that jumps into its identity very often, GT might be more enjoyable for you. At the end of the day, it's up to you whether Asura Breaker is the right class for your play style.

Key Takeaways:

  • Asura Breaker has a different play style compared to GT Destroyer.
  • Understanding the boss's patterns is crucial for maximizing damage as Asura.
  • Choosing the right class depends on your preferred play style.
